We are pleased to share that École Secondaire du Harfang and École Secondaire du Maréchal, both part of the Centre de Services Scolaire des Mille-Îles, have received their CPR and AED training equipment thanks to Fonds Julie Thorn and the ACT Foundation.

Following the passing of Julie Thorn, a former student at Polyvalente Deux-Montagnes, her sister Marie-Hélène Thorn and her friend Marie-Hélène Proulx fundraised to help donate defibrillators in high schools in the event of a cardiac arrest.

This time, the funds were used to donate mannequins and #AED training units to empower all students to save lives with #CPR and #AED lifesaving skills.

Every year, over 470 students will be trained by their teachers at École secondaire du Harfang and École Secondaire du Maréchal, so they can help in the event of an emergency in the Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines and Mirabel communities.
