WHEN: Friday, October 19, 2018; media invited at 11:00 a.m.

WHAT:

Local secondary school teachers will learn how to teach their students CPR and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Every year, they’ll empower more than 25 students with the skills and knowledge to save a life.

The ACT Foundation, in partnership with BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS), is enabling these secondary school teachers to empower students to save lives.

Thanks to a contribution from the Rotary Club of Nakusp, the Regional District of Central Kootenay, AstraZeneca Canada, Sanofi Canada, and Amgen Canada, the ACT High School CPR and AED Training Program is being implemented in one secondary school of the School District No. 10 Arrow Lakes: Nakusp Secondary School.
